Iberostar paraiso maya grand12/7/2023 ![]() The Prestige beach staff was right on top of things too. (he was available at breakfast too if you wanted something not on the buffet) He made the best Chimichanga I’d ever had! Also, awesome tacos with different meat choices. The Chef, Yadir, made us whatever we wanted. (no, we didn’t make use of that) We are Club members, so we went to the beach Prestige area for lunch. The wait staff around the pool, Luz and Leticia, were consistent and always checked on us for anything we needed, right down to a burger or something else. Adrian and Abraham were always made a point to stop and check on us. Chatting with Star Friends makes you feel like you are home, they are interested in you and why you are there. This has gone somewhat in many of the Iberostars, but here it is standard practice. This is something that was one of the things that got us addicted to Iberostar many years ago. The spa had a masseuse named Rubin who did chair massages right near your chair by the pool, terrific and free! The Star Friends were really friendly and always said hello if you made eye contact and often stopped to chat if they felt you might be available to talk. ![]() The buffet Maître d was Endrick! Greeted us every morning with a huge smile and a warm embrace! Secretly delivered a surprise Anniversary cake from a guest we had met and made sure he didn’t tell, but was so pleased to have the opportunity! The Pool was lovely and well maintained. Restaurants were all wonderful! The French was our favorite, not at all what we expected! The Maître d was Manuel in both the French and in Toni’s, he was amazing, made everything very special, and made you feel like family. (Seems silly) Housekeeping was great! Always took care to leave towels and never missed turndown (same time every night), chocolates on the pillow, incredible consistency. The spa on the property only had 2 beds and would have been my first choice due to proximity, but pricing is higher than the beach or market place and not available to Club members. My masseuses name was Dulce, It was an amazing massage, I upgraded to a Mayan massage, she was fabulous! But they also had massages on the beach. The only thing that was a short distance away was the spa which we took their shuttle to at the market place. To get to the ocean was just after the main pool. Main lobby which was at the other end of that same building was 1 to 1.5 minutes walking. The building we were in was pool view (quiet pool) the restaurants were within 1-minute walk to each on them the main pool was off of the main buffet. Our Butler Marcelo, took great care of us even though we didn't need him for more than simple things like extra pillows (firm) and extra ice tea, or ice for the champagne bucket, he always checked on us in the hallway and asked if we needed anything. I would put this resort against any I have been to and it either matched or exceeded anywhere I have been to in every possible category. This was our first time at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso, we have been to the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall, Jamaica.
